Ein Zahnimplantat ist eine Titanschraube, die in den Knochen verankert wird, um eine fehlende Zahnwurzel zu ersetzten. Wenn man bedenkt, dass 40% der Menschen im Alter ab 65 Jahren keine nat\u00fcrlichen Z\u00e4hne mehr haben, ist die gro\u00dfe Expansion der Implantologie keine \u00dcberraschung mehr.<\/p>\n

Es ist eine erwiesene Tatsache, dass ein fehlender Zahn m\u00fchelos durch eine Titanschraube, bzw. ein Implantat, ersetzt werden kann. Dieses Implantat wird anstelle der Zahnwurzel im Knochen verankert. Diese Methode hat das Leben vieler Menschen sp\u00fcrbar erleichtert. Dabei werden die benachbarten Z\u00e4hne in keiner Weise besch\u00e4digt, was bei Zahnbr\u00fccken gelegentlich unvermeidlich ist. In solchen F\u00e4llen m\u00fcssen die Z\u00e4hne oft vorab abgeschliffen werden, um eine Zahnbr\u00fccke anzubringen. \u00dcbrigens verhindern Implantate auch die Knochenresorption im Bereich des extrahierten Zahns. In F\u00e4llen eines fehlenden Zahns wird der Kieferknochen nicht mehr durch den Kauvorgang stimuliert. <\/p>\n

Implantate integrieren sich in 98 % der F\u00e4lle erfolgreich, und es ist am besten, so viele Implantate einzusetzen, wie Z\u00e4hne fehlen. Das Einsetzen von Implantaten wird unter lokaler An\u00e4sthesie durchgef\u00fchrt und dauert ca. 10 Minuten pro Implantat. Nach einigen Wochen wird ein Tr\u00e4ger f\u00fcr die Krone, also eine Suprastruktur, auf das Implantat gesetzt, auf die sofort ein k\u00fcnstlicher Zahn befestigt wird. <\/p>\n

Neben einzelnen Zahnkronen k\u00f6nnen Implantate auch Br\u00fccken tragen oder zur Stabilisierung der Prothesen verwendet werden.
